Successful Fundraiser at Montagu Caravan Park Brings New Light to Ashton Primary School Tennis Courts

Fundraising for tennis court lights

A wave of excitement and community spirit engulfed Montagu Caravan Park as supporters gathered for a triumphant fundraising event, organized by Zeelia Britz and her committee, to bring new floodlights to the tennis courts of Ashton Primary School. The event, made possible by the dedication of the Montagu Caravan Park owners Koben and Carin Kotze, illuminated the path to success for the school's fundraising event.

On Saturday, 20 April, families, friends, and tennis enthusiasts converged at the picturesque Montagu Caravan Park, eager to contribute to the enhancement of Ashton Primary School's tennis facilities. Under the guidance of Koben and Carin Kotze, the event unfolded into a spectacular showcase of unity and generosity.

Attendees were treated to a delightful array of activities, including a fishing competition, fun walks, games, and delectable food stalls. As laughter filled the air and friendships were forged, the true spirit of community shone brightly throughout the day.

"We are thrilled by the overwhelming support shown by our community," remarked Zeelia Britz, reflecting on the success of the fundraiser. "Together, we have made a significant impact on the growth of tennis at Ashton Primary School."

The funds raised at the event will pave the way for the installation of new floodlights, transforming the tennis courts into a vibrant hub of activity for pupils and the wider community. The initiative underscores the vital role of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie among pupils.

As the sun set on a day filled with hope and promise, the success of the fundraising event serves as a beacon of light, illuminating the path to a brighter future for Ashton Primary School and its pupils.
